Foreword from the CEO

Batumi Oil Terminal (“BOT”) is one of the largest enterprises in Adjara. Its history roots back to the XIX century, and since that time BOT has been a significant part of the economic and social development of Georgia’s western region. The advantageous strategic and geopolitical location of BOT on the Black Sea has become a key factor in a decision by JSC KazTransOil, a subsidiary of JSC KazMunayGas, to acquire BOT and the exclusive rights to manage Batumi Sea Port (“BSP”) in February 2008.
The shareholders view BOT and BSP as a major component of the export chain, designed to transship and transit crude oil, oil products, as well as dry cargoes from Central Asia and the Caucasus to any seaport of the world.
Since acquiring BOT we have realized significant investments in the terminal’s infrastructure and operational facilities, resulting in BOT being capable to transship up to 22 types of crude oil and oil products. BOT boasts a solid tank farm, seven discharge estacadas, three berths, and a Conventional Buoy Mooring (CBM).
This magazine provides a broad overview of the BOT technical data, its existing storage facilities, berths, and rail estacadas.
I genuinely hope you will find this information interesting.
With best wishes,
