Railway Estacadas
Crude oil and oil products are transported to Batumi by Georgian Railway in rail tank cars, which are discharged at the modern estacada and accumulated in the various reservoirs. The products are delivered to the oil berths through the sophisticated pipeline system.
There are five estacadas on the BOT main area, designed to discharge crude oil, light and dark oil product. The modernized Estacada #2 is equipped with the product heating system, operating through the circulation of hot product heated in the heat exchangers. The pumps of this estacada are equipped with the convertors ofthe engines rotation frequency, thereby decreasing the time required to discharge the high viscosity oil products while preserving their original quality.
Below are the brief technical characteristics of the BOT estacadas sorted by product type.
