A working meeting of the company's management with Mr. Besik Tsagurishvili, the Head of the Batumi Economic Clearance Zone of the Customs Department, and representatives of the department took place at Batumi Oil Terminal LLC. The main subject of discussion was the strengthening of the country's transport and logistics potential and improving the efficiency of customs and transport procedures.
Mr. Marlen Tulegenov, the General Director of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC, expressed gratitude to the government agencies for their close cooperation and contribution to ensuring the smooth functioning of the international transport corridor.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed the terminal's initiative to optimize the current procedures for registration of railway tank cars. The implementation of the proposed mechanism will significantly increase the capacity of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC and the turnover of loading racks; increase the volume of transshipment of petroleum products and the efficiency of using the existing infrastructure.
The meeting participants confirmed their readiness to continue active cooperation, which will contribute to the growth of Georgia's transit attractiveness, attract additional cargo flows and further strengthen the country's position as a reliable and competitive transit hub between Europe and Asia.
