Batumi Oil Terminal LLC conducted an emergency response training near residential areas


Batumi, June 5, 2025 - A planned emergency response training was successfully conducted on the infrastructure of Batumi Oil Terminal LLC (BOT),  based on a simulated oil spill scenario on the Du700 pipeline, located near residential areas.

The event was aimed at practicing coordinated actions of personnel, including emergency notification, stopping the technological process, dispatching emergency teams, as well as localizing and eliminating the consequences of a simulated incident. 

Additionally, during the training, a separate briefing was implemented on providing first aid to the victim, with the participation of a medical worker of the terminal. This made it possible to practice actions of rescuing and accompanying victims in an emergency situation.

More than 30 employees took part in the training, including the repair and mechanical service, emergency units, oil spill response team, fire brigade, security service and medical personnel. More than 30 units of machinery and equipment were involved, including truck cranes, pumping units, mobile power plants and fire extinguishing equipment.

Based on the results of the training, an analysis of the actions of all participants was conducted and areas for further improving of the effectiveness of response in emergency situations were identified.
